Alterations and repairs studio · North London

Clothes altered to fit, and mended to last

Hems, waists, sleeves, zips, linings and repairs, done by hand and machine in our small studio. You get a fixed price before we start.

About us

A small studio for everyday alterations

We are two tailors working from a studio in Bobbin Yard. Most of what we do is ordinary, useful work: taking up trousers, taking in waists, shortening sleeves, replacing zips and mending things you'd rather not throw away.

Bring the garment in and try it on. We pin it with you, tell you the price and when it will be ready, and only then start work.

  • Walk in for hems and repairs during opening hours.
  • Book a fitting for jackets, dresses and made-to-measure.
  • Most jobs are ready in 5 to 7 working days.

How it works

Four simple steps

  1. Bring it in

Walk in for hems and repairs, or book a fitting for jackets, dresses and made-to-measure. Bring the shoes you'll wear with trousers or a dress.

  2. Pin and price

You try it on and we pin it with you. We tell you the fixed price and the date it will be ready.

  3. We do the work

Most jobs take 5 to 7 working days. Linings and bigger jobs take about 2 weeks.

  4. Collect and try on

Try it on when you collect. If it needs a small adjustment, we do that at no extra charge.
